J. Douglas Bird, DMD, MD

Dr. Bird is the newest member of Harbor Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Bird graduated with honors from Oregon Health Sciences University College of Dentistry. Following graduation from dental school, he was accepted to the post-graduate residency program for oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Kentucky. While there, Dr. Bird obtained training in the full scope of oral surgery with particular emphasis on maxillofacial reconstruction, corrective jaw surgery and contemporary dental implant surgery using 3-D imaging technology. In 2009 he received a medical degree graduating with high distinction from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. Dr. Bird completed his residency training in 2011 and joined Dr. Steffen and Dr. Hinz at Harbor Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery that year.

Outside of work Dr. Bird enjoys skiing, mountain biking, and spending time with his family outdoors in the great northwest.
