Samuel G. Hinz, DDS

Dr. Samuel  Hinz is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the American Board of Dental Anesthesiology.

Dr. Hinz graduated Cum Laude from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN with a degree in Biology. Outside of his academic accomplishments at St. Olaf College, Dr. Hinz also earned varsity letters in both baseball and golf.

Dr. Hinz  graduated with honors from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. While there, he earned multiple awards and scholarships for his academic achievements, most notably the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Outstanding Dental Student in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Award. Dr. Hinz completed his advanced training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI. While at Henry Ford Hospital, Dr. Hinz participated in multiple multidisciplinary teams including the Henry Ford Hospital Sleep Rehabilitation Center, the Henry Ford Hospital Cleft Lip and Palate Team as well as the Henry Ford Hospital Multidisciplinary Pathology Review committee

Dr. Hinz is trained in full-scope oral and maxillofacial surgery with emphasis on maxillofacial reconstruction, orthognathic surgery, dentoalveolar surgery, advanced pre-prosthetic surgery and dental implant rehabilitation. Dr. Hinz values the professional relationships with other dentists, dental specialists and physicians in the management of simple to complex dental/facial conditions. Dr. Hinz currently holds hospital privileges at St. Joseph and St. Anthony Hospitals in Tacoma and Gig Harbor, respectively.
