Dr. Elias is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and Fellow in the American College of Surgeons. He maintains privileges at St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma and St. Anthony’s Medical Center in Gig Harbor.
He was born and raised in southeastern Michigan and graduated from the College of Idaho with a BS in Biology. He completed dental school at the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Dentistry and was accepted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honors Society. Dr. Elias was commissioned as an Officer in the US Army and completed a 4-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency in Honolulu, HI.
Dr. Elias has worked in a multitude of surgical roles both in the military and private practice settings. Some positions include Department Chief at Madigan Army Medical Center, Head and Neck Surgeon for the 147th Field Hospital, Staff Surgeon training residents, and a member of both the cleft/craniofacial team and sleep medicine team at Tripler Army Medical Center. His current scope of practice includes everything from dental extractions, wisdom teeth, dental implants, complex facial trauma, reconstruction, and corrective jaw surgery.
